Nursery Ministry Department
MISSION STATEMENT
The primary goal and purpose of the Family Community Church Nursery Ministry is to introduce the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior to children, from 6 weeks to eight (8) years of age.
We will teach biblically-based Christian doctrine under the direction of the Holy Spirit.
Basic Christian principles of the uncompromised Word of God will be taught to the children as the foundation for future Christian teaching, spiritual growth, and Christian education.
The principle objective of this ministry is to develop, shape, and nurture a spirit of love for God, and to seek the salvation of the unsaved.
We are committed to the development of Godly character in our children, and to strive for this purpose through the promotion of biblical moral virtues such as: Christian love, holiness, discipline, honesty and integrity.
Finally, through teaching the Holy Bible as God’s inspired Word, the Gospel of Jesus Christ will be presented, and the work of evangelism will be done. Young believers equipped with the full armor of God’s Word will be prepared to go beyond the Christian Nursery School level, learning more about God; thus further developing their godly character.
FCC POLICY
We are blessed at FCC to have a nursery
staff that is committed to providing a safe and Christian environment
for your precious loved ones. It is FCC’s standard policy that all
nursery workers (Staff and Volunteers) be cleared through a background
check prior to serving in this ministry.
PARENT POLICY
The Nursery
Ministry serves children six (6) weeks through eight (8) years of age.
In order to ensure
the security of all our children, all children meeting the age guideline must
be signed IN and OUT by their parent.
Only the Nursery
Department staff and parents of children meeting the age guideline are
permitted in the Department.
Please promptly
pick up child(ren) at the close of worship, Bible study or any other scheduled
event.
Labeled bottles
and baby food brought by the parents will be given to infants according to your
written instructions. Labeled bottles and food should be prepared prior
to nursery check-in
Since our primary
focus is (age-appropriate) ministering to your child, we ask that you leave all
outside toys at home.
Parents are
required to inform Nursery staff about any current negative behavior(s) which
may compromise the safety of the Nursery environment (i.e. biting, hitting,
pulling hair, etc.). Please be aware that there is a 3-strikes policy
(see discipline policy).
Please notify the
Nursery staff if your child is currently taking ANY medication.
NOTE: TEACHERS WILL NOT ADMINISTER MEDICATIONS. All children should
be in good health when spending time in the Nursery
